ios 5.0.1 on Gevey with PBB possible?

Hey guys,
I'm now on ios 5 with PBB using a gevey sim.
However, I'm wondering if by chance I accidently screw up my device and need to restore, will i be able to use a gevey on ios 5.0.1 with preserved baseband?
While searching, I saw some different results from users so I am uncertain if it works or not, thanks.
