IOS 5.1.1 crashed my IPhone 4S?

Did the update on the IPad(s) and no issues, update the IPhone.. CRASH! Had to run a full restore while connected to the MBP? What gives?

Major problems on my iPhone 4!

Crashes and reporting the battery as empty when it's full, sometimes it's only working with cable plugged in!
Very strange, seems to be ok now but every hour or two it flips out and takes 30min to restart!
