I have just updated my New iPad and iPhone 4 to the latest 5.1.1 update (over the air), now my wifi is going really slow on both devices.

Have reset network setting and switched router off and on, but still the same.

Anyone have any ideas please? This is the first time I have ever had probs with an ios update!

Thanks..

Nope. Wifi definately going slower since the update.

Shall I do a restore? If so, do I restore from a back-up or as a new iPad ?

Thanks

Setting up from new rids of any problems you had previous... Do a clean state and restore as new

ZipZap Rule of thumb:

If 5.1 works for you wait to update and let others be the beta testers.

I had a weird thing happen last night after 5.1.1 update on my iPad (3rd gen).

Update went fine, no issues. But after I did it, my battery meter went from 98% to 100%. I thought it just maybe recalibrated and didn't worry about it. I watched a 22 minute show on Hulu (Bob's Burgers, thank you very much) and when I closed Hulu after the show, I was still at 100%. I played Draw Race 2 for about 20 minutes, then it went back down to 98% Now it's back to around the level it would have normally been.

Even though their release notes didn't say so, I bet they addressed some battery stuff in 5.1.1.

I noticed my battery had a much different precentage than it did prior to the update, going from 98% to 90%. However, after using it the rest of the night doing general web browsing and email, I managed to get it down to about 80% before I went to sleep. I'm curious if they addressed the battery calibration issue where the meter would read 100% but it would still be charging.
