Trying to help my dad make the switch to Lion so that he can get iOS 5 installed on his iPhone and iPad. He's been reluctant to make the switch because Intuit is stubborn... you know the story.

We've got his new Intel MacBook Pro that he will probably upgrade to Lion, and his older MacBook Pro that he's bequeathed to my mom (who has an iPhone, too) that he will leave on Snow Leopard for Quicken 2007.

My question is with iCloud... if he upgrades his iOS devices, upgrades his computer to Lion, and keeps his wife's computer on SL... what limitations will she encounter with an iOS 5 phone and a computer running SL?

None. Everything will back up to iCloud but the information won't be pushed to the computer running SL. It will still sync with iTunes 10.5, but your contacts and stuff won't be pushed to the MBP.
