I have found that mobile Safari is almost universally useless on the new threaded comment services that many blogs, forums, and newspapers are switching to. Any attempt to move the insertion point results in the window going 'dead'. One newspaper is using the Facebook linked, Blogger's threaded replies also break, Disque, etc. None allow even basic editing beyond backspacing to the mistake and retyping again.

If this was just one or two services you'd wonder about bad coding, but there are too many of them - this is some flaw in the iOS mobile safari implementation.

What surprises me is I can't find any other complaints about this. Can anyone more knowledgable about the new wave of web text editors and comment services explain what's broken so I can more accurately describe it?
