My 4S is arriving on Friday...am I the only one that feels this need to wait for IOS 5 until I get my 4S?

With most of the changes being internal, I want some new things to discover when I first turn on the 4S.

Am I alone on this?

Nope, Not me!
I only have an iPod Touch 4G, So i'll be updating today.
Then my new shiny iPhone friday :)

Yes, you're alone. Even if someone tells you you're not alone, they're just lying to make you feel like you're not alone.

I don't know if you are alone, I suspect not. But I couldn't wait and installed the GM last week. Nothing earth shattering but some nice refinements and it seems less leggy than iOS 4.

Just you ;)

Updated mine last week, its brilliant.

Also my ip4 is going to a family member, so it would have needed updating for them anyway.

ios5 is brilliant.

Are you saying you want to wait because the 4S really has nothing all that exciting coming with it so installing iOS 5 before you get your 4s would take the fun out of it?

sounds like it.

I have an ip4 and I'm waiting till my ip4s arrives so I'm not upgrading the ip4 since I plan on selling it. I'm let the new owner choose to upgrade it or not.

In a way yes, I think 4S is fantastic that’s the reason I ordered it. Updates to the camera and the speed will make it a better phone to use and have day in and day out. However, they are not the most exciting "out of the box" features to play with on day 1.

waiting...

3GS here, runs pretty slow as it is, thinking I'll hold off on upgrading in case something goes haywire. I can wait two more days to play with iOS5. Would rather be 110% positive I have a working phone for the next two days rather than having my hands on the shiny new thing immediately...
