About an hour ago I found that the new beta was released, however, it won't install on my iPad 2 at the moment. I'm at work, so there's not much I can do about it at this point. If it continues to hassle me, I'll dl the ipsw and restore from iCloud when I can get to my Mac. Side note, it installed fine on my iPhone.

Anyone else having this problem?

it might be the network at your office that is preventing the download of iOS5b6. your probably better off trying it on your home network.

solved my issue with the file-based restore on iPad2 out of recovery mode; hope you had your backup done before. My iPod touch 3gen worked well OTA.
A little consistency issue ;)
but no blame; its still beta anyway

Post about it in Apple's developer forums not here.
This site was just a few taps away, plus there are plenty of devs on here as well. It was more of an acknowledgement than a request for assistance.

Don't acknowledge the sticks in the mud.
My iOS 5 Beta 6 restore was mostly flawless (after I restarted the download).

This thread reminds me of loud Howard.

I had the exact same problem with my iPad 3G, iTunes said my iPad wasn't eligible but all my other devices restored fine to beta 6.

Will try ChristianJapan's solution and post my result here.

Update: it doesn't work for me.

That's odd. When I downloaded the firmware and restored my iPad 2, it then worked perfectly. The difference is I didn't use recovery mode, just your standard restore in iTunes.

Restore, and wait. Please.

its known? i assume your saying you have info that the issue is known about and will be solved in next beta (7 this week?)

my iPhone installed beta 6 without a hitch but my iPad simply wont do it..no matter what i do...
