Hi just a question for those who were previously using iPhone 4 with iOS 5 Beta, when iOS 5 becomes available on iTunes will it automatically update my phone out of Beta and into the official iOS 5 release? I ask this because I'm running iTunes 10.5 Beta and it wont let me update out of Beta into the official 10.5 release, it simply says iTunes is up to date.

I'm running 5.0 (9A5313e) on my iPhone and 10.5b108 on my iTunes (Mac)

thanks in advance

can anyone? still unsure as to how I can update out of beta into the official release

Download the final ipsw file (or GM) and Option-Restore. See other threads for direct ipsw links.

If you had installed the latest ("GM") version of iOS 5 then you don't need to upgrade. It's literally the same file, byte-for-byte, as the public version.

Quite true, but 9A5313E is beta 7 I believe, and has a time-bomb unlike the GM (9A334)

thanks guys, I've got the iOS 5 GM sorted, but how do I manually update iTunes with the 10.5 installer I downloaded from the apple website?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

Go to iTunes.com and download 10.5.

Run installer
