So because of AT&T's unwillingness to let me upgrade without paying lots of extra fees, I've decided to keep my iPhone 4 for now. I'm still excited because most of the new stuff coming out is in the new OS and not dependant on the new hardware.

So my question is this--how do the late beta releases of iOS 5 run on iPhone 4? Pretty good?

Works awesome. Almost no lag, and opening animations are much improved over iOS4.

Installed GM on Tuesday on my iphone4, it works fine and I've not seen any noticeable difference in responsiveness or battery live vs 4.3.5 (however, a geo-aware Reminder seems to keep GPS on and that WILL affect battery)

I've run most of the betas on my ipad2 and it's been good, only issues had been some glitches with various apps but all seem to be cleared up at this stage.

Its already been discussed in earlier threads by beta testers that the iPhone 4 will run the ios5 with little issue.

However the iPhone 3gs may lag a little.

If you perform a search these previous threads should become evident.
