I thought a bunch of my apps weren't restored but when I went to download them again it show theory were installed. Sure enough under search I found a bunch of them but their icons don't show up on the pad. While I can open them under search I want to know what they are and be able to put them back into their respective folders.

Any ideas?

Had the same problem with my iPod touch. You may be exceeding the max number of screens at the bottom. I think it's limited to like 13 pages of apps. Any apps past this get hidden until you delete or move some apps to a folder to reduce the number of pages being used. Once you reduce a few pages (enough to ensure the number of missing apps appear), sync, reboot, and all missing apps should appear.

Hope this helps

You can reduce the number of pages by grouping apps in folder.
