One of the big reveals at this week’s WWDC was the deep-seated Twitter integration with iOS 5, but that’s not the only social network that got a boost in the new OS. AllThingsD has confirmed that contact information now has space not just for their Twitter handle, but also Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr and even MySpace. Really, MySpace? It sounds like it’s very much a buggy and beta feature right now, but this is only developer preview 1, so it should become more refined before iOS 5 is properly released.

Your friends Twitter information is meant to autopopulate your phone, but if you use Facebook more frequently, you can download your friendlist to your address book with the Facebook app.

I haven't installed iOS 5 yet and i use Facebook more than twitter and would really prefer Facebook integration.

The article is really vague, but does this mean that it supports facebook integration.

Thanks

Sadly it doesn't mean Facebook integration which I would love! What the article is pointing towards is the space in the address book that allows you to add a contacts Facebook name... just like Flickr is also there.

before facebook was a custom label, now it's an official label, i noticed this on the way home today when messin about with contacts. it's a good sign tho, shows they might be thinking about it

Sure hope so, I don't have a single friend who actually uses Twitter... Are my friend's behind the times? LOL
