iOS 5 Notification Question?

In notifications message settings you can turn off show preview so your texts are private and you get a generic message something like "you've received a message" in the notification panel.

What I'd like to know will we be able to do this for our apps like Facebook and Whatsapp? When someone writes it shows part of the message in the notification like the show preview does for messages. It would be nice if we could turn off the preview so we get the generic message like in messages.

Do you think this will be possible?

Yeah I would like to know this as well. I don't like how when I get a message on facebook or someone writes on my wall it shows part of the message or post in the preview. I liked how on 4.3.x it showed up as "Blah blah sent you a message" or "Blah blah wrote on your wall"
 
Yeah. Like stated above. Its up to the developer.. But u can turn off notifications. Or rather that the banner shows the notification for a couple of seconds but doesn't store the notification in notification center

How is notifications turned off? It was easy in iOS 4 one switch turned everything off but I can't see anything like that now?

It does? Where? This is the only options i'm getting.
