iOS 5 release date?

I apologize if this may be a noob question but when are expecting iOS 5 to be released? I don't remember when they released iOS4. I am hoping they release it after Tuesday's iPhone announcement but thats prolly too optimistic...

GM on Tuesday after the event like before, they'll announce the release date for public on tuesday, possibly 14/10/11 as a guesstimate
