I'm asking this as i have seen some posts from people on Twitter showing screenshots from their device on IOS 5 via the new option to share via Twitter.

Now on the web based Twitter it just shows a link which upon hitting just opens a twitter page showing the same post i just came from.Hitting the link just shows the page again and so on and so on.

With regards to Echofon it shows the link but you cant select it to open it.To see the link i think you'll have to copy it and paste it in Safari as i cant see any other way.

And in the official Twitter i can see the screenshots fine as i thought i would.

Now will this be it,will it be only compatible with the Twitter app or seeing as it's only the first Beta will this problem be addressed in future betas, your thoughts please?

It sounds to me like you will have to install the official twitter app for that stuff to work.

But then you should be free to leave it hidden on the last page and continue using whatever twitter client you like. I use Tweetbot for all my posting but I still have 'Twitter for iPhone' somewhere in one of my folders. I imagine everything will work if I keep doing that.

I understand what your saying needing the official Twitter for it to work but shouldn't it show the exact same tweet & link to photo on web based Twitter and other Twitter clients as it does on the app?

I dont mind using the official Twitter app, i just want what photo's i share to show everywhere else like they do on the app.

Thas the gripe thats bugging me.

Pretty sure twittelator pro has already updated to use the see the new twitter photos. The rest are probably just starting to roll it out.

I don't think you guys are getting the fact the ios 5 is BETA right now. Nothing is fully baked and everybody's freaking out about things!

Since the pictures won't even open on the Twitter web page, I'm guessing this is a glitch and will be fixed. Once it's fixed, it should open in any Twitter client!

BTW, doing the same things right now... keep having to go back and forth between Tweetbot and Twitter for iPhone.

Prefer Twitterific or Tweetbot to Official Twitter App.

Yeah, I get that. I use tweetbot. I'm still not understanding why that should bother me or what the problem is. That's my question.

EDIT: Ok, I see the problem is about viewing the photos, not about posting them. I missed that. Yeah, I'm sure the apps just need to be updated to understand those links and I have zero doubt that they will get that update.

A few posts in here mention hiding the official twitter app. Just so you all know, you don't need the twitter app installed to use the twitter integration.
