iOS 5 won't download

I'm trying to install iOS 5 on a friends iPad and it won't download. iTunes is version 10.5 and says that it is the most recent version. It knows there is an update but when I tell it to start it shows the download but it doesn't show any progress.

I have updated another iPad on the same network so that shouldn't be a problem.
