iOS 6.0.1 Camera concern

Has anyone unlocked their iOS device to notice the camera app running when they know they didn't click to open it?
I've noticed this a couple of times now and find it really odd.

No.
I just pick up the iDevice (iPod touch and iPhone), unlock it, and notice that the camera app has been on without me opening it.
