Title basically says it all, since iOS 7 drops iPod 4rth gen support, there's no reason not to jailbreak my iPod. Any good jailbreaks that don't require it to be plugged in to my computer, and have cydia and such?

there are currently no untethered jailbreak on iOS 6.1.3 for any iDevice

Well, then is there any way to make my device on an older iOS 6 to jailbreak it without losing all my stuff?

Open cydia and press TSS center, does it say any iOS 6.0-6.1.2 SHSH blobs? If not, nope

If its not jailbroken, use ifaith (windows only) and check what complete ios 6.x SHSH blobs you have, if any

...What? Sorry, I'm new to jailbreaking. I found redsn0w which claimed to work for iOS 6.1.3 untethered, so I tried it out tethered at first to make sure it'd work, and it told me to plug into itunes or something, so I assume it had failed, and it also showed an error message of missing file or something. I rebooted my iPod and it was fine, though.

the itouch 4th gen can only get a tethered jailbreak on 6.1.3 at the moment

you need to use redsn0w's "just boot" function everytime you restart the device. you must also point it to a iOS 6.0 ipsw for the itouch 4th gen (extras --> select ipsw) before you do the just boot command

as you are new to jailbreak, I would have to say no, you can not downgrade to iOS 6.0-6.1.2

Use tinyumbrella, ifaith, or redsn0w to get your 6.1.3 SHSH blobs ASAP (before apple stops signing them)

Edit: too late to grab iOS 6.1.3 SHSH blobs now

I watched a video on it, and there is a semi-tethered jailbreak. I have the 6.0 ispw, so i'm going to start jailbreaking

I'm confused. i'll download all the iOS 6 stuff so I can save the things, not sure what those terms are. It says in the downloades iOS (version) restore.
Anyway, another thing: Does teathered mean you only have to reconnect it to your computer after you hold the power button then slide to shut off, or is it every time you just press it and release?
edit: I think I'm in a diff timezone, it's just 10:22 right now. I'm able to get the downloads, so I just downloaded them ALL.
Also, I'd be okay with a tethered break if it only requires the tether after a full shutdown

Tether means you have to do the just boot after a full shutdown (from running out of battery or turning it off)

All iOS 6 tethered jailbreak are semi-tethered (i believe)
