Has anyone else noticed this?

I have an iPhone 4, 32gb, un-jailbroken, running ios 6.1
I have 279 songs on my phone, 32 albums
I also have ALL the album art added to my albums by using the right click --> get album art feature in iTunes.

Whenever I tilt the phone sideways to go to the coverflow, occassionally I will scroll through the albums using my finger and it's like the art gets mixed up. The next album in line will actually be behind the second album in line, only to correct itself when I scroll to it. Also, sometimes the corner of the current album will be caught behind the next album in line.

This is a very rare problem, I can only get it to do it sometimes, I haven't grabbed a screenshot yet.

I restored the phone using iTunes as well as a hard reset, as well as using the option under general settings "erase all content and settings" and then resyncing with my computer both from backups and as a new phone.

The problem persists! Anyone else noticed this before?

Back on older iOS's i had way more albums then that and it used to load them flawlessly and pretty damn quick too, now it continuously loads as u scroll through the iPhone. This iPhone definitely hasn't retained it's speed.

Absolutely! Just like the two pictures above...

Anyone know what causes it? Have you been able to fix it?

This is kind of ridiculous. I wished they would've fixed it in 6.0.1. Then in 6.1. Then in 6.1.1. And it's still there. I hope Apple fixes it soon, and I'd like to see them breathe new life into Cover Flow, possibly with a way to scroll through albums faster.

I've seen this bug since iOS 5.0...

That's crazy! I restored "as new" for the update to iOS 6.1 and when I put all my music on it, I noticed this glitch.

I have since restored the phone "as new" ...again... last night and am no longer experiencing the coverflow issue.

How do you restore as new all the time? I've done it maybe once, the thought is so scary!

It's really not that bad.
I have my contacts synced with iCloud and I usually email myself any good photos I've taken, so if I restore "as new" all it takes is a quick minute to turn on my iCloud contacts and email and I'm back up and running. It also takes a minute to put my music back on, I only use about 7 apps, so that goes pretty quickly too.

Probably the longest part of the whole thing is waiting for the restore and then signing into Instagram and Facebook.

Another annoying glitch I've noticed in Cover Flow is how if you're playing something without album art, when you tilt the phone, it jumps between the black background and the white one.

Items without cover art used to use a musical note on a black background as a placeholder image. At some point, Apple switched that to a music note on a white background. But Cover Flow didn't eliminate the black image. For some reason, when you go from Cover Flow back into vertical mode, the white turns black, and then quickly turns white again.
