iOS 6 Battery and Data drain with iCloud?

Can anyone tell me what is going on with iOS6 and batter drain/data drain?

I had to turn off iCloud because i was being drained 1-2kb a second for no reason. My brand new iPhone 5 lasted 5 hours today! What is causing my battery and data to drain with this iOS 6??
