I currently have an iPhone 4S with Jailbreak that had made it slightly sluggish lately and i want to do a reset but don't want to get rid of iOS 6. I just recently downgraded from iOS 8.4 and do not wish to update.

I do understand if you reset without itunes, you will get bricked. Trust me I've done it on my iPhone 3G before...

Well…there is Cydia Impactor, but my understanding is that it's iOS 8.x only. There's also been mentioned that there is a new method for downgrading devices (the 4s being one) but you have to have saved blobs.

If this were a month or so ago I would have told you that what you want is not possible.

You'll have to look this up on your own though as I have no experience with any of the stuff I just mentioned. Just passing along information.

thanks for the info. i will look into it. i downgraded using openssh and winscp. i should probably sace shsh blobs now that you mentioned it.
