Forgive my stupidity, but there is no YouTube app link like there used to be on IOS 5. So when I go through the browser it tells me I need flash player that I can't download. Is there an app in store.

:apple:iPhone 4 + 4s :apple:ipad2 :apple:TV 2

Opening youtube links from safari - obviously doesnt work now but will it link to the app if i download it?

Jasmine (free) is an excellent alternative. Very simple, gives fuller screen than the Youtube app.

+1 to this.

Jasmine is like one of the best free YouTube alternative apps available, and is already optimized for iOS 6 and iPhone 5 to take advantage of the 4" display. Nice sleek interface, & loads rather quickly. One of the things I like is that it features the old volume slider when watching videos that is currently lacking in the new YouTube app by Google. Would recommend this to all iOS 6 users. (Not available for iOS 5 and below)

+1. On both iPad and iPhone nonetheless.

A lot of people are having problems loading embedded youtube videos in IOS even after they have installed the new YouTube app..

If YouTube.com is telling you need to install flash, you are on the full site, and not the mobile version. You should be able to switch the mobile version via a link on the bottom of the page.
