IOS 6 Passcode help..should i upgrade to ios 7?

I bought a iPad loaded with ios 6 and it asking for passcode which i dont have a passcode. if i do a recovery thru itune and upgrade to ios 7. will it ask for passcode again? and possibly findmyiphone lock?

does ios 6 findmyiphone linked to ios 7 findmyiphone?

It won't be able to restore without removing a passcode.. Mostly it shouldn't I don't know 100%.. But if the device is linked to someone's Apple ID, u won't be able to use it at all after restoring.. I suggest u find the code from the guy u bought it fron

it can be restore using recovery mode to clear out the passcode. just haven't try yet


edit. just tried, upgraded to iso7. doesnt ask for passcode nor activation lock.
