Anyone who has the iOS 6 GM installed on a 4S care to describe how it effects performance on their device?

Faster! But battery is suffering due to the auto brightness not working correctly. It sets the brightness too high on its own and this is on a clean install of the GM. Apple rarely changes the GM to Customer Builds, but boy, I hope they do today.

That's strange, I haven't had any brightness issues. I usually keep mine almost all the way down and it stays there.

Strange, I've had the opposite problem with auto brightness on both 4S and iPad 3. A few times it has left the screen too dark to read in low light. Most of the time it works OK though.

Things are a lot faster about iOS 6 update. Considering my SMS.db file is almost 60MB, I had a lag in iOS 5 where when I'm texting it takes a good 10 seconds before opening a text or even try to send it. Sometimes it crashes the phone too. Now it's all gone under iOS 6

Wow, I'm impressed. I was a victim of the 3G brick under iOS 4 and I've been very hesitant of new iOS updates ever since. Please keep posting your thoughts- I appreciate them all!
