iOS 6 Public Realease Not OTA from Beta 4?

Does anyone else have this problem? The GM wasn't OTA so I never bothered to update, so is it the same for the public release from Beta 4?

I'm having the same problem. I also downloaded the ipsw file and am unable to install it via iTunes.

You need to do an erase install. The GM and the public release are the same thing.

Yep, I solved it. Make a backup on iTunes first. Then put your phone into recovery mode or whatever and do a clean install of the iOS 6 public release, and restore from the backup.
