When I am on the lock screen, slide up to the camera, then click the icon in the corner to open the photo album, then press done, it kicks me out to my home screen, completely bypassing the locking\security mechanisms built into the iPad\iOS. What the heck? I thought this was fixed ages ago? It's back!

Hmm I just tried this on my iPhone and nothing happened, is it only for iPad?

Not sure. I'm unable to reproduce it on my iPhone, only my iPad. Seems to be within the 5 minutes between when the device is locked but doesn't require a passcode. Looks like its time to set the require passcode immediately. That seems to alleviate the problem.

So if it only happens before the 5 minute lock period that you set then what difference does it make?
Its not locked with a passcode anyway.
