Somewhere In Apple's HQ ;)
My iPhone 5 battery life has always been crap since iOS 7. But I just updated to iOS 7.1 Beta 2 yesterday, and it's much better and the animations are so snappy. Whatever they did in this update it's had a positive effect on my battery :)
What about you guys how is the battery life on your devices running iOS 7.1 beta 2?

Mine is about the same, if not a little better. I just had my 5s replaced Saturday, so I won't know much until I can calibrate the battery. Not sure if Apple recommends it or not, but I let it die every so often and charge it up.

the beta 2 is faster but my battery life is the same. at this point, i doubt battery life would get better, hope that i am wrong

Some of the iOS 7.0 betas were pretty poor in terms of battery life, which was completely understandable and expected. Ever since then, my battery life has been slowly improving. With 7.1 beta 2, I'm experiencing the best battery life I've ever had with my iPhone 5. My iPad 3 is a tank, like always.

Yet the recommend it atleast once to let it run to 0 then charge it to 100. I think it's on there battery help page.

Apple recommend that let it die once every month as I read somewhere. Letting battery die is not good for battery itself, however, it’s only good for the battery management software to calibrate.

I had a great battery life on 7.1 beta 1 but since upgrade to beta 2, usage has dropped to at least an hour, same usage condition.

Trying to figure out what is causing this, do you guys have reduce motion on or off? Does it affect much in battery terms?

Thanks guys. I thought I read that somewhere, but couldn't remember.

After a few days, i noticed battery life had improved to a point where I get about an hour extra per day. Its usually about 4 hrs usage before my 4S dies but now its just over 5 hrs.

Any time a x.0 version is released there is always some performance issues for older devices. They do get ironed out eventually.

In iPhone 5s i have big big battery drain with the 7.1b1 (it was the reason for downgrading to 7.0.4)

With the 7.1b2 the battery life is almost the same with the 7.0.4

Battery life was pretty crap for me at first but I done a restore through iTunes and now back to the same levels I was getting with 7.0.4 - Battery life on iPhones will never be amazing anyways until they make bigger housing for bigger battery. :D

On 7.1 B2 since its out and the battery life isn't bad at all on my 5s.

from 7AM to 7PM on low (3 bars max) Dual 3G coverage only; about 4.5 hours of usage (no talking at all, all usage is web browsing and apps usage)
and all the rest is on Wifi til almost 12PM now.

BTW battery life on my previous iPhone 5 was terrible, hardly reached 4 hours of usage on same conditions.

Mine is worse, used to have between 5-6hrs of use and 15-16hrs of standby. Now I'm lucky if I get 2-3hrs of usage and 5-6hrs of standby.

This is the battery life on my iPod Touch 5G.
Usage includes: Gaming for about a total of 30mins (Clumsy Ninja), Using Facebook, texting, listening to music. Brightness at 35%, and wifi on. And watching 2 episodes of Family Guy on hulu. What do you guys think? I will do my iPhone 5 next.
