I personally find 7.1's NC Calendar widget far superior to 7.04.
Where 7.1 has a compact streamlined display of appointments vs 7.04 displaying the entire day forcing the end user to scroll wether appointments are scheduled or not. One could say 7.1 is more like an agenda view of your day.
