hi i have iphone 5s running ios 7.0.4 and the battery life is not so good.
in the ios 7.1 the battery life is better?
there are more bugs from the ios 7.0.4?

maybe you should read these threads, as they answer your question instead of needing a new thread of your own.

7.1 beta 1 findings/bugs thread - https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1673902/

7.1 beta battery thread - https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1674466/

and its up to you if you want to do the update. there are bugs, as usual with betas, and unless you're part of the dev program its usually recommended not to use it unless you know what you're doing.

Battery life is great for me on 7.0.4.
iPhone 4S that's two years old.

If you want to increase your battery life, do a complete reset and restore of your backup (make sure you backup before you reset).
This will solve your battery problem.
I had the same problem when I went to 6.

Does music syncing actually work again?

So exceptionally annoyed I haven't been able to put any music on my phone for nearly a month.

I added new music to both my iPad and iPhone running iOS7.0.4 today and earlier this week.

I'm willing to bet the 7.1 update is not going to help your battery problem. I'd have to recommend you restore your phone as NEW and do not restore from backup.

Man, I hope so. I was so happy that with 7.0.4, my music syncing problems seemed to have disappeared for a few weeks. Then, BAM, comes back like a latent herpes infection.

Really wish I had kept it on 7.0

I backed mine up to my computer the other day, restored and re-synced and it seems to be ok now.

an update is not really going to make your battery last longer. A battery is a battery.

That is false. If it can make the battery usage decrease it can increase it too. Beta 4 had the best battery life where I got about 9 hours of use on my 4S consistently.

Not true.

The operating system governs how the processor works, how the network is accessed etc. If the OS runs more efficiently it means the battery lasts longer. Look at Mavericks, timer coalescing in the OS led to marked improvements in battery life as the processor is active less often. Same thing in iOS.

Also, bugs that lead to some processes running more often than they should can be eliminated.

Hey.

There's nothing they can do to make the battery life impress me, with the current battery in here. They need a bigger/different battery.

It's not enough.

My MacBook Air battery has degraded despite the Mavericks update. And also, it has more often than it used to, actually frozen my computer at times. Yeah, don't think I didn't notice that. I'm watching.

And for many others there have been improvements. It sucks it didn't work out for you, but for many of those that it did it's kind of irrelevant that there are some who have issues.
