So I've been reading a lot about people falling into the trouble of buying a second hand device and updating it to iOS 7, only to find out that the previous owner is still signed in with their ID with no work around? But I've been thinking, and I want to see if anyone has tried this and succeeded? But wouldn't a DFU restore bring the iDevice back to life? What do you think? I really want to try this out and help some people!

A DFU mode restore brings you back to the same lock because iTunes will not be able to activate the device.

help people to get stolen devices? how kind...

you can help by pointing sellers to the apple knowledge base document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818

We'll not necessary thieves but how would you feel if you bought a second hand device and couldn't activate it? It would totally suck.

Yes, and that's why Apple has instructions for what to do when buying a used device before you take possession and also after you take possession with the lock still in place.
