Well I guess it's a little early for this and everyone will be playing with their new iOS so figures will be off but what's the general feel on battery life?

I installed earlier at 100% battery and 3 hours later I'm sitting at 70% with maybe 30 mins of trying out the iOS. Seems to be dropping about 1% every 20 mins in standby with same settings as I had on iOS 6 (iPhone 5) which usually ended the day around 75% with reasonable use.

I usually wait a couple of charge cycles before I start to get worried (and this is a Beta of course) but I do wonder what's draining the battery in standby...

Definitely can't complain since it is the beta, but I while using it it dropped like 1% every 2-3 minutes. And after a 7 hour sleep at night it had dropped 12% in standby.

Overall, it IS a beta so battery drainage is to be expected..

But honestly, I have ios7 beta running on my iphone 5 and i dont see that great of a difference than normal drainage :/ maybe im not noticing it well. hahaha

Yeah I'm chalking the issue up to it being the first beta too. In 5 hours of sleeping it fell 5% which is very different for me. Here's to hoping beta to releases soon.

How's the release schedule like for betas anyway?

Usually a new beta comes out every 2-4 weeks but that average is probably about every two weeks. As more betas come out the average release time moves more towards 4 weeks.

Beta 2 will most likely be out two weeks from yesterday if past betas of x.0 updates are any indication.

From what people said, it's usually around 2 weeks for them to release beta 2.
I'm hoping it's sooner. :D

People need to remember that with any new release like this everyone is using the phone constantly to test stuff out. Battery life always seems to suck at first because you never turn the phone off.

I've had horrible battery drainage since installing it. I can't complain, this is a beta and not really meant for every day use like we're doing now. It's meant for testing, so we can't expect it to be fully polished yet. But everyone should be aware this will most likely cause excess battery drain and be prepared. I have my phone plugged in all day at work and at home anyway. But last night I left it on my nightstand and it went from 78% to 53% in 6 1/2 hours of no use. I leave Bluetooth on, so that may have something to do with it.

no complaints, but I lost about 30% just on the way to work today. was on a call through handsfree in car a portion of the way the rest idle.
