.....am I the only one missing it already?

Have heard it for 7 years many times a day....feel like a lost soul now :( :apple:

That's the first thing I turn off after a restore - and keyboard clicks. Can't stand them.

same feeling..Since the iPhone 2G/Edge!
When I don't hear it, I usually check if the phone is muted.. It's part of the iPhone experience! :p

I'm always on vibrate. I can't stand noises coming from my device. Makes it seem cheap to me. But I can feel your pain.

So you don't listen to music?

I haven't been using the beta but I'm turning off my lock sounds now so that if this is really how it works in iOS 7 it won't jarrying day one and I will be used to it already :D

I find this very strange how they have (If they have indeed) got rid of the unlocking sound when the locking sound is still there. If their logic is "Well you don't need an unlock sound as you know its unlocked but with a lock sound you could just flick the lock button and stick it in your pocket without knowing its really locked." But that would mean they don't trust their products. Who knows, maybe its intentional but why would they get rid of one and not the other?

Calm down, relax, they probably needed to turn it off or it's a bug, it will be there in the GM.

+1

I think we'll see a bunch of new ringtones, text tones, and interface sounds in the GM or last beta.

I think we have a better chance for the 2000 new things people say iOS 7 needs than new ringtones.

Someone said here that ringtones are like a trademark, if it rings people know it's an iPhone, that's why there are so little options and new ringtones are $1+.... Makes sense to me.

iOS 7 needs new ringtones and text tones. If I hear another Marimba one more time I think I'm going to pull my hair out.

And we don't want mp3 iTunes ringtones we want real ringtones.

iOS 6 did bring us some new tones so we will surely get new tones for iOS 7.

"Surely" is a strong word, I don't think we would have new ringtones, and if we do, they are going to probably suck compare to the old ones.
