At least on the iPad 2 there are frame drops. And it eats ram, safari has already crashed on me twice.

If you were seeing what I'm seeing on my iPad 3, you'd be singing a different story.

I'm also experiencing some lag on my iPad 2. And it is slow to pick an wallpaper.
I don't think the OP was meaning for people to take his post so literally. I think he's just trying to say its "of beta quality" in that there are still obvious issues that he's already discovered in such a short time.
I was being sarcastic about being a beta, because people has a lolfest replying "omg it's a beta" on here... well you know what it runs like a beta...
GM's are generaly the RC for consumers, it is intended for dev's to prepare the updates on there apps for quick release after after 7 goes public.
'beta quality' is not a very objective observation, Apple won't release junk as GM. If a bug is found it will probably be fixed in 7.x as 8 days is usally too little time to fix and test a proper fix on a major bug.
Done. This did change the ballgame significantly. I can type now without lag and overall it seems much smoother.
Hopefully that isn't required for all users on Wednesday, heh.

still drops frames when searching for music on the music app, also spotlight sometimes framedrops...I guess this is a pain we'll have to live with...
So, can you interrupt an animation? Like when there's an animation of unlocking the phone or changing to a different page, can you do something else, like tap on an app, and have it take effect right away, or would it not work until the animation is done (like in betas)?
