iPhone iOS 7 GM Imessage using number instead of email

I have set my iMessage to use my email id for new messages/conversations but randomly iMessage starts using my number for an ongoing conversation. I get this error mostly when I switch from Wifi to cellular data. I have to delete the whole message and start a new one for it to use my email id again. Does anyone else have this issue or can test it?
