Hey guys I'm sure there are numerous threads about this but too bad I'm making another one! When does everyone think the iOS 7 GM will come out. I'm pretty sure that in the past, it has been the day that the new iPhone is announced. Since BGR said two more betas were coming, we have beta 5 presumably next week (August 12) and beta 6 presumably two weeks after that (August 26). So I'd like to her your guys' ideas about when the GM will come out. I know, no one knows, and this conversation won't change the release date blah blah blah, but it'd be nice to have a discussion about it! Feel free to share.

As you stated it will most likely be around the time they have their Fall media event in September (or was it October?). Just keep an eye out for the Fall event and you'll know the GM/Final release will be close or even that day. Least, that's been the trend so far.
That seems about right, sadly no one knows of sure because no one knows the release of the iPhone. Good assumptions though.
He "believes," that means guessing. But I agree with him. There is usually an announcement of the new iOS release date, usually at the event where they announce the new iPhone, which lately has usually been in September/October.
I see two possibilities
1:
8/19 - Beta 5
9/09 or 9/10 - GM, fall product announcements
9/27 - Public Release, release of new IOS products.

8/12 - Beta 5
8/26 - Beta 6
9/09 or 9/10 - GM, fall product announcements
9/27 - Public Release, release of new IOS products.
The final release could be on the 20th.. But because of the huge changes.. I think that Apple will give developers a little more time and do the 27th... The more ios7 ready apps.. The better

9/25 - iOS 7 goes live to current users

Especially the 9/17 or 9/18 event since the Yerba Buena Center has no events listed for those dates.

Well we're still over a month out from those dates so anything could change.
The GM will not go out before an Apple event. It's always announced the day of the Apple event.
Not always, but usually. The difference is that GM usually also gets released to developers a bit before the public release.
It is, but it gets released on the dev portal about a week before it goes live to all users.
