Anyone else out there see some similarity between the mega hit Candy Crush Saga and iOS's new color scheme? The bright icons look like jellies that MUST BE CLEARED!

Anyway, I'm loving the look of it. And so far Beta 5 has been really solid.

Speaking of that, when did they change the name of Bejeweled to Candy Crush?

When people thought Bejeweled was old and wanted something new and basically got the same thing in a different skin and suddenly it became the greatest thing ever. Kind of like iOS 7. ;)

I do agree with the 'must be cleared' part—this is the gameification of iOS we've been hearing about. I feel exactly the same about the little NC Reminders—I invent tasks for myself now just for the joy of punching those circles!

Zing!

But bejewelled never said: "tasty", "Sweet", "Sugar Crush", etc, and that is why it failed miserably.

I wouldn't know. Candy Land is not a place I frequent.

However my grandmother loves how the pastel colors match her taste for soft and feminine.

Apple makes big bucks off of simply amusing others.

Yes and now there is swipe to delete. Which is much like Mailbox, though not quite as well implemented. But still it is fun to swipe and delete a message.

Must clear message to Mailbox Zero!
