Someone sent me an address via messages. I went to go type it into Maps to get directions and as soon as I started typing, the first suggestion was the full address and on the bottom it said "From XXXX".

Maps now shows suggestions based on addresses in messages.

Pretty cool if you ask me!
 
That's awesome. It's nice to see some cross-app integration, little things like that make the iPhone experience that much more enjoyable.. It's the details :)
 
i use Maps more frequently now, at least in NYC.

Google is annoyinog and the google maps when opened, always reverts to a place in England as default. I dont keep location services on.
Apple maps will start where i left off

Wow, that's weird. I'm in the UK and whenever I search for local towns around me, I always get sent to [Town Name], [US State], USA. Good to hear the annoyance runs both ways. :p

but do the maps still suck?

Map details seem to be improved. The screen seems more "crowded" (but not in a bad way) with more roads and other details.
