But to answer the question, as far as I know you can't delete the Camera Roll.

I don't want to delete the album (camera roll) itself, just the photos within. It's using up my whole 64GB so i want to start from fresh but don't want to do a clean install as i have loads of apps which require sign in etc Last edited: Sep 11, 2013

All the photos that are in separate Albums are put together in Camera Roll.

D devildog820 macrumors member Sep 29, 2008 45 0 Sep 11, 2013 #5 You can use iPhoto. Have it import all the photos (you can just delete them from iPhoto) and then iPhoto will ask if you want to clear the camera roll.
