hello , i've gotten into trouble with my iphone ... since ios 7 dropped ive updated to the latest , even beta 2 , i've wanted to downgrade to 6.1.3 due overheating but i dont understand "how" my ios 6 backup was gone ..... and icloud doesnt support restoring on an earlier ios version so the only option is to roll back to ios 7 . the big PROBLEM is that now i CANT activate my phone on 7 and i dont understand why , because ive done the same thing i did 2 weeks ago and everything worked fine and after installing ios7 there was no activation menu and stuff ... please help

2 weeks ago ive updated without a developer acc or UDID

the only option is to roll back to ios 7

What do you mean by this? Go back to iOS 7 Beta 1?

Just to be clear:

1) You installed iOS 7 but did not run into the UDID check.

2) You wanted to go back to iOS 6 but instead reinstalled iOS 7.

3) When reinstalling iOS 7, you got caught by the UDID check.

Is this correct?

Can you reinstall iOS 6 using an IPSW (links here) and option-Restore in iTunes?

It's more or less the same way you were able to upgrade to ios 7, only you use a 6.1.3 ipsw restore file instead of the 7.0 ipsw file.

Once you're back on 6.1.3, you should have a few "restore" options from earlier dates (provided you backed up properly).

Does iTunes not allow you to use option-Restore to reinstall iOS 6?

Well there is a way to avoid the UDID check (you probably used this method the first time you upgraded to iOS 7, you are just not remembering it), but the mods of this forum have told us not to help anyone do it. Good luck finding other places where you can get this info.

after installing IOS 7 after connecting my Iphone to the Itunes it says that his Iphone is not registered to the developers etc
only with DFU mode i can go back to 6.1.3

i need ios7 working with my backups , like it was earlier

Oh, I see. So you did a upgrade without fresh restore, so you had everything you had on your phone before (all your apps, music, etc). Then you went back to iOS 6, which required a fresh restore. Then you went back to iOS 7 and wanted to restore from an earlier iOS 6 version you had backed up on your computer.

I don't think you can? But I'm not 100% sure.

If I understand correctly, OP went back to iOS 6, then found that his backup from the time he was on iOS 6 had disappeared. (For future reference, in order to avoid this, move the backup files to another location.)

So now he wants to go back to iOS 7, but he's running into the UDID check.
