for people who are running ios 7, if u go to settings>general>about> ull see right at the very bottom: trust store, with a bunch of numbers

anyone know what this is?
just curious.

It refers to the storage used to hold certificates for the device and software. Take the link just below "Trust Store".

Apple's explanation of Trust Store

Although my iPhone (iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.2) says "Learn more about trust certificates" just below "Trust Store," it's not really a link, just text.

However, Apple does have an explanation, "iOS: List of available trusted root certificates" at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5012

It's a setting that let's you decide if you are going to let a certain computer sync with your device. You have to choose to trust a computer or not. If you don't then the only thing you could do is charge your device. Once you say trust and do a sync or a back up it remembers that that device is okay.

There are certain ones built in to try to stop those shenanigans of folks modifying lightening cables and docks to put malware etc on your devices
