iPad iOS 8.1.2 breaks AirPlay on iPad 2

MY dad updated his ipad2 to 8.1.2 and now airplay doesnt work!
is there anyway to get this to work?

Have turned off / hard reset / reset settings etc...

also is there a way to get back to ios6 / ios7 stable ios?

It's all devices. iOS 8 breaks AirPlay, then fixes, etc.

my iPad MIni Retina iOS 8.1.2 and AirPlay working perfectly.

My iPad 2 and iPhone 6 both on iOS 8.1.2 don't have any issues with AirPlay. Both streaming and mirroring works as should.

i'm having this issue, although Airplay Works, the sweet little icon is gone from both Safari and Chrome while watching fullscreen videos. I have to go to control center to activate it. This might seem like a small number of extra steps, but on a iPad 2 this takes about 15 seconds.

Im also lacing the icon on my iPhone 5s, is this a feature or is it done purposely?

Anyone saying that AirPlay works perfectly - flat out liar! First of all, the safari lacks the AirPlay icon most of the time. Secondly, the AirPlay "window" got so small, that even if you have only two AirPlay destinations - you have to scroll!!! Why on earth did they made the window so small!
