iOS 8.1.3 messages notifications not popping up.

I'm having issues with 8.1.3 (more than I did with iOS 8.2 beta 5 tbh) and the biggest issue is with my messages.

I don't see any banners pop up when I get new text messages and the sound no longer plays/vibrates.

Is anyone else having issues with messages on 8.1.3? Any way to fix this?

Have you checked if the notification settings switched off somehow?

I'd suggest to check again notification settings.
