Hi all,
Can anyone confirm whether the iWatch software is installed when upgrading to iOS 8.2 from 8.1.3 on the 4s?
I would like the security updates but, don't want the redundant iWatch software on my device due to space limitations.

Thanks in advance

Hi Mate

Have a 4S and just updated to 8.2. No mention of Watch or applications installed.

Best
Paul

Thanks for the reply.
So it is safe to state that this update will not install anything related to the iWatch on an iphone 4s?
Only the security and healthkit updates in iOS 8.2?

Yes. And works good, actually.

Solved and Confirmed

Thanks to both replies. :)
I can now confirm that NO apple watch data installs on the iPhone 4s when updating to iOS8.2 for anyone else who is wondering.
No useless icon and on iOS8.2

On a side note:
Transition between screens and apps seem more fluid than 8.1.3
Calendar dots for events seem to duplicate for a brief second on the far right hand side of the calendar if there is an event in that date
(never done this in 8.1.3)

Hi guys hows the performance of ios 8.2 on the iphone 4s?

I haven't updated my iPhone since ios 6.x Thanks

Not as good as iOS 6.x.x for speed, useability and fluidity.
Depends what apps you have and what functions you need and use.

In all honesty, if I had 6.x.x I'd stay on it but, I'm stuck with 8.x.x now.
For me iOS 8.x.x seems more bloated (due to stock apps I don't use now in my redundant folder)
If you are concerned about device security then update but, it comes at a performance cost.

hope this helps

Makes sense - the Watch is not a supported device on the iPhone 4, so Apple should have been smart enough not to install the Watchware.
