On ipad air 2, when i use control center to set the brightness my settings are saved (even if i restart the device) and that's fine but when i use the icon: settings->brightness it doesn't (resets to 50% brightness after restarting the device).

Wonder if that is an ios 8.3 bug or it is just me.

Assuming you have Auto-Brightness on?

It's off. Apparently restoring the ipad during low light conditions (night) was provoking this bug.

I restored during daylight and problem solved.
