iOS 8.3 or 9.1?

Hi all, quick question. I am fairly new to iOS. I have a 6plus , love it. My question is , should I upgrade to iOS to 9.1 or stay at 8.3? My phone runs great as it is. I am aware that updating to the latest is recommended, but I seem to read about a lot of issues from 9.0 and up. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If there are things from iOS 9 that would be useful to you, probably worth it, otherwise, it might still be good from security point of view, but overall might be safer to stay with what you have (although for most iOS 9 seems to work just fine).
