I can appreciate that the home screen icons rotate in landscape mode but why didn't they do lock screen notifications like this also? I tend to leave my 6+ on my desk in landscape mode and yet have to turn my head or rotate the phone to read lock screen notifications.
I can appreciate the landscape keyboard having additional keys but has anyone at Apple actually tried to type with 2 thumbs in landscape mode? Would be nice if they added the split keyboard feature the iPad has.
I can appreciate the subtle tweaks to Calendar, Contacts, Messages and Mail to display more content in landscape mode but what happened to the phone app? Why is that still stuck in portrait?
I'm optimistic that Apple is going to finish baking what they released as half-baked features due to timeline constraints.
