Help! I downloaded iOS 8 with my phone plugged into my MacBook Air running OS X Yosemite. Now when it tries to reboot my phone it tells me to plug in and connect to iTunes to finish the download, when I do that iTunes suddenly quits and won't reboot. All my phone does is sit there with a black screen with the cable and iTunes logo, indicating plug in and connect to iTunes. It has turned my iPhone into a useless brick that I really need. I would be willing to downgrade to iOS 7 if thats possible as I have 4s and have heard mixed reviews.

I cannot figure this out. If I could just restore my phone I would be happy, I have everything backed up on the cloud, the only issue is I can't get past the connect to iTunes screen.
