IOS 8 General Help

Hi I have just started with IOS devices and reading about WIFI tel and text coming out with IOS 8 so thought I would look in here to read about it, and fine IOS 8 is already out or am I missing something. I checked my phone and iPad both running IOS 7.1.2.

Question is how do some have the iOS 8 and other don't both my devices say software unto date. Do apple restrict the updates??

iOS 8 is currently in beta, it will be in September when it is publicly released.

Yes, BETA is a testing period. For iOS 8 it is only open to paying developers.

Yes, people who pay $99 per year to become registered Apple developers, such as myself, are able to register up to 100 devices on their accounts to gain access to iOS betas and other developer perks.
