iOS 8 GM unable to restore iphone.

With the new update, I wanted to use the public version. I am unable to update or even restore iphone.

Any ideas? Wait until apple upload the IPSW to their website and do it that way? Or is there just no point?

SOLUTION-

Put your iPhone into recovery mode, download and then alt update.

He already tried that, but he cant restore or update via iTunes because the server is down.

This is why I say just wait for the public release. It's only a week and none of the apps are optimized.
