So my phone is stuck at the 'Plug into iTunes' screen.

iTunes on Yosemite crashes as soon as I plug the phone in.

What can I do?

Known issue... delete iTunes 12 using AppZapper and then download iTunes 11 from apple.com and install it.

Another fix I have seen people suggesting is to install Xcode 6.

Apparently iTunes 12 requires items from this.

Ah yes. The XCode 6 trick does it.

Have to do a full erase and restore to pull it out of DFU mode though. A little annoying.

If this helps, I restored from iOS8 GM ipsw on another mac still running mavericks after I got the connect to iTunes image and constant iTunes on Yosemite crashing then reconnected to my Yosemite machine to restore from back up - got everything back just as it was but running iOS8 GM.

If i appzap itunes 12 and install 11, am I going to lose my playlists, etc?

New version of iTunes 12 released a couple of hours ago. Maybe will fix this problem
