So I was wondering if there are any Touch ID Button Gestures in iOS 8 or if what I've found is a glitch or some feature which I am unaware of?

Basically I've accidentally discovered that if you double tap the Home Button on my iPhone 6+ (but without actually pressing it), it moves the screen down by half the height of the screen...

This can be done on the home screen, in apps, everywhere it seems.

This is my first device with a sensor in the home button, so I don't know if it exists in other iPhones with Touch ID.

Is this supposed to happen? If so, what's it for?

Please excuse the naivety if this is an obvious feature.

Thank you.

yes its a 6/6+ feature.

it's supposed to make it easier to use the device one-handed. if you cant reach something at the top u can use this to get it further down.

Ohhh, that makes sense. Handy feature then...
I was beginning to think maybe it was a feature that hadn't been fully implemented yet.
Thanks for posting.
